FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Juanita Watson, Founder, Radiance Health Center

I-ACT and National Board Certified Colon Hydrotherapist
Holistic Nutrition Consultant
Clinical Herbalist

I have been on a conscious journey of health for over 30 years, and have professionally focused on studies in nutrition, internal cleansing and detoxification, colon hydrotherapy, herbal medicine, massage and bodywork, energy medicine, sound healing, holotropic breathwork and addiction recovery.

A native of Northern Alberta, Canada, I moved to Austin, TX in the mid-1990's where I became a Licensed Massage Therapist and started my original massage business.  Two years into a thriving practice, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to relocate to Asheville, North Carolina and become the Massage Therapist at an addictions treatment facility.  Throughout that time, I began transitioning my work into the realm of colon hydrotherapy, eventually opening one of the first colonic businesses in Asheville, NC.

My quest for knowledge about herbal medicine took me to Southern Arizona in 2004 where I had the incredible opportunity to study under the late Michael Moore and other noted herbalists.  Throughout my travels I've explored many different aspects of what is considered alternative health, from food lifestyles such as macrobiotics and raw/living foods, detoxification, various spiritual paths, addictions recovery and personal development.  I have come full circle and reside back in Austin, TX, with a very busy colon hydrotheapy and holistic nutrition consulting business.

A lover of travel, I discovered the enchanting island of Jamaica in 2002, and have been making yearly trips back to study botanical medicine and the traditional culture of the island.  The music, people, pace of life, food, plants and clear Caribbean water have truly captured my heart and soul.

My passion is for achieving optimum health which encompasses a holistic approach to life in general.  All parts of our lives affect the whole.  Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, spiritual practice, time for rejuvenation and diet are all essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, we have a greater sense of fulfillment. We become integrated. Our lives make sense, and we are free to create the life we were meant to.

My mission is to make available to you the information and knowledge I've compiled through many years of training, exploration, and trial and error. This combined with gentle guided support I hope to help you successfully move in the direction of your personal health goals.
